ABOUT DASPVO
WHAT IS PVO: PVO is a community in which we can help bring solutions to our students everyday lives. With the help from our DAS PVO volunteers we can make an significant impact with our students by providing opportunities to help enrich their education, raise funds to improve the school, and build bonds with not only the DAS school community, but with our local communities as well.
PVO is where parents get to work hand and hand with the school in helping enrich our children at school and at home. The PVO consist of the PVO Board, Chair leaders and their committees, as well as any parent/guardian Level 1 certified PVO volunteer.
The PVO is governed by the elected PVO board members. The PVO also holds Chaired Committees based on the needs of the school each school year. These committees are lead by a PVO Board appointed Chair Leader. These members are also parents of children attending DAS. The PVO Board has an election at the end of every year decided by the parents of DAS.
PVO has an important and large impact not only to the school, but with the students as well. The PVO community creates, plans, and coordinates school PVO events. To help have successful PVO events volunteerism is greatly needed.

Our Vision
To support Discovery Academy of Science and for PVO to grow a strong community with our students, parents and DAS staff . PVO will focus on STEM inspired events; Social Awareness; Community Outreach as well as building the Spirit of DAS.
